From the 1st June 2019 this investment option will be available to GRID wealth members in various tranches, closing on a quarterly basis.
Kilcullen Finance DAC is a special purpose vehicle (SPV) that funds Cash Advance Loans on the GRID Finance platform and lends directly alongside US, European and Irish Institutions.
You can now participate in this emerging asset class by lending to Kilcullen Kapital’s (SPV) and earn a return of 7% every year on the anniversary date for 4 years, along with an additional profit share estimated to be circa 12% on the maturity date. Please note the yields will fall on future tranches.
This investment opportunity is a means of getting access to the small business loan asset class, without direct bad debt exposure, this is because the SPV accumulates a bad debt reserve to cover losses over the life-time of the SPV.
Your capital is exposed only if the equity, accumulated profits and bad debt reserves are fully utilised by losses in the SPV.
Default rates are currently less than 1%. Defaults would have to increase to 5% for capital to be affected.
Main Features:
Investment Amount: Minimum €10,000 and increasing in €100 units
Closing Date: 30th June 2019
Timeframe: This is a four-year investment with interest paid back every year for the four years. Capital and Projected bonus paid on the fourth-year anniversary.
